DeleteWell, Animal Jam's been around for like, let's say RIM has been around 5 years. 1 rare per week, 52 weeks in a year, 5 years. We have over 260 rares. I'm not going to say there's too much, but there is a significant amount to the point where the value has gone down a bit. I remember back in 2014 where I had seven, SEVEN whole rares and I was so cool! My friend was so jealous. (Who doesn't play AJ anymore :() But, it's like, now if you have a bunch of rares, not that is wasn't like that back then, but the value's gone down, you have to trade A LOT of rares (not even sure of the amount) for a single beta, there was a time where you could trade like four for a beta! And there's so many now, the rares back in time have gone up. If the rare is from like yesterday, it's not that rare, but this has been going for so long that those old rares from long ago are worth more. Is there too many? It's debatable on both sides, and I think there are, but I don't think it's a program that should be stopped. It's helps to be a basis for a lot of Jammers to try and get rare, I bought around thirty or so clover balloons and now I can trade them for other things! :D It helps new Jammers get rare. And, it allows you to save for the feature. You can't really save things and watch them get rare these days. (With a few exceptions) but back in 2014 I bought 20 rare pink purses on my second account, and they're still there today, and I RARELY see that RIM now. There is a lot, but it's a great program, and there will continue to be too much, but oh well. I don't think anyone's going to be like, oh no, I have too many rares. (Unless you're one of those 50 headdress Aldan peeps who recycles their rares for gems because you're too rare to do an adventure. xD)
ReplyDeleteI personally think that Rare Item Mondays are great! The problem is, there's just too many, like q1zx AJ said, and there aren't that many creative new ones. They are always just recolored versions of random items (usually unpopular ones). And for some reason, they like to use oranges, greens, and purples a LOT. What about a pink RIM? Or a light blue one? Sure, maybe once every now and then, but usually it's a combination of orange, green, and purple. The idea of Rare Item Mondays is a good idea. It's just sort of been abandoned down the road, and most RIMs have very little value these days.
DeleteIt would be a great way to offer new colors of popular items, but if you're not a fan of purple, orange, and green, you're out of luck. There have been some pretty cool RIMs through the years, though, and I am glad that they exist.
