These dens were HUGE! There were bridges, ladders, and levels to climb, run, and play. They were set up so you enter on a bridge and you go inside a giant wooden mansion. Of course back then you could not change dens because there was only one type!
For warning I got these pictures from other blogs, so I do not own these...
Notice how there was nothing really in "Sarepia" yes it was just Sarepia back then. I like how there was a giant mushroom too! There wasn't a slide though. Which one do you like better?

Way back when, the sol arcade used to never exist! There used to be a pillow room, and a medical center where the pillow room is now. 
Blast to the Past about the top jammer menu. Do you notice during the beta days, it looked a little different. First off, what in Jamaa is the shovel and pickax for?!? The Mail, Buddy, and Gems Icons look the same. The News and Achievements look the same, but they are different colors. The book I think is a Journey Book. I thought the Journey Book always came out later, but it might be just books to read. Do you like the icons back then, or now?

Blast to the Past about Jammer Central! Did you know that there used to be a stone on where the Jammer Central is today? It looks like an Alpha Stone. Anyway, there used to be a billboard that was the Jammer Central. So, Do you like the Jammer Central today or back then? Do you think that is an Alpha Stone? Why did they move/hide it?
Blast to the Past is a segment about the Animal Jam Beta/Old days. This weeks Blast is about animals.

There may be a lot of animals that you can purchase today, but in the beta days, there were 6 main animals. Those six animals were wolves, pandas, bunnies, koalas, tigers, and monkeys. There were also no such things as "members." All of the animals were for everyone to buy.
This one is specifically about old Jamaa Journals!! Look how they used to look like....
This Jamaa Journal was from the first Day of the Phantoms (Halloween) in Jamaa! It shows how the shamans (which are now called Alphas) had a lot to do with Jammers back then before they left.
Almost all of these are on sale now! So that means if something goes on clearance, don't worry if you missed it, because it will be back!!! Look above maybe the ones that we don't have yet are coming!!
This one is about Deleted Items! How exciting!!
This item was a beta item... It is a green tiara with a blue diamond! This item wasn't really deleted but only a couple of Jammers own this item anymore...it is pretty rare!!
Shell Fins were introduced in the underwater version of Best Dressed, but they never came out for retail!! Weird!
And finally one of my favorite item to talk about....Skullys!! This is the cheapest item ever sold in the clothing shop!! Only 10 gems!! You couldn't change the color of it... And it was the only Beta Tail item. Yes this was a tail item! It was stuck on the very end of the tail! And if an animal doesn't have a tail then it floated behind them!!! AJHQ decided to delete ever Skully!! So Nobody has this item anymore!! Some say they deleted it because it looked scary! And some say it was for all the glitches it caused!! What do you think?
And then hen you clicked "Play" another screen poped up!
After a couple months AJHQ released this background Login...
And so it was after a couple more changes Animal Jam's Login screen is back to the way it is today!!
It is about Crystal Sands! This is probably one of the most debated about things in Jamaa!!! Remember the old Crystal Sands with all the caves, and one of the caves is Sir Gilbert's head....
But then Jammers got a Jamaa Journal with this in it...
REMODELED! Never heard a land getting remodeled!

I think the beta days were kind of better because every thing looked so cool and the beta day den was so cool they have no mansions now the only really big dens are the princess castle and the normal castle DX

Deletehate to break it to y'all, but animal jam can't "bring back beta" no matter HOW much alliteration you use X3 anyway betas were to test for bugs and stuff. So unless AJ enters another testing era (not just adventures, which I'm sure they won't) then no beta.

Also, without members, Animal Jam would shut down, that is how they get the money to make the game. And to be honest, BETA was pretty boring. So when when you say "Bring back BETA" you mean "Shut down AJ"
^^What are you talking about, AJ is brining a lot of beta back, monthly gifts are coming in September too! Rare Clouds! and I think ppl that want beta are ungreedy a lot of ppl don't want beta bc they don't wanna become unrare.^^

DeleteAnimal jam can't bring back beta. Beta was a testing era to make sure there was no bugs, and if the testers found any bugs, they would report them to AJHQ. Therefore, unless Animal jam undergoes another beta era for something other than testing adventures, which is a very very very small chance, no "beta days" guys. Sorry.

And the new days have TONS of udates which are good and more animals.
I think the skullys were removed because when pandas played, there was a glitch were it showed beneath their tummies..... XD

I was in the beta days... they were so fun! there were no member items, everything was really cheap, ( but back then it was hard to earn gems cause there were only like 6 games and 4 different worlds! ) it was fun and luckily I was able to take some of the betas with me... but not all of them!!! :)

DX Since I heard of the Beta Days I have been on Google searching for "Animal Jam Beta Days" So I really think they should bring back the Beta Days for the Jammers that didn't get to experience them! ReplyDeleteI know why they deleted Skullies. They looked inappropriate on pandas. It scared children under 10. It was a bad item, but the rest of the beta days were pretty cool. I didn't know about Animal Jam in 2010. But look how it's changed in the past 4 years. It looks really different. I wouldn't suggest searching "skullies on pandas". It has a creepy Pinkie Pie picture with bleeding eyes [i'm sure of it ] and it has Laughter, her element of harmony, spelled in blood. It's scary. Don't look at it unless you are 9 or older. ReplyDeleteI don't mean to disappoint you, but you can't bring back the beta. Beta is a term used when a website is just getting started, and it needs to be tested. I know you want the beta back, but it's just not possible.

Beta days were so cool! i joined AJ in november 2010 though.. anywho, i own some beta items! i have small table, tiny tree, wood floor, tan carpet and flower carpet! Also, i hope that the alphas can interact with us one day! It would be so cool! See ya in Jamaa!

ReplyDeleteMy user is DUKE29023. I was part of the beta days back when I was a non member, in October 2010. I got my intro with the second beta Liza on the list! Gloves were just 80 gems back then! Until animal jam made a "Rare Item Monday' and came out with a "rare" glove with changeable colors. Gloves on that day cost 750 gems! I want the beta days BACK! Who's with meh?

However, I at least think AJHQ should be a little more reasonable about pricing items, and I want to know who the fire trucker was who taught ppl how to scam so I can PUNCH HIM IN DA FACE!!! -DUKE29023 (still)

There were no seals, no mt shiver and no coral canyons the first animal to be endangered was monkey, and it was for like, six months! everyone had a gecko plushie and I loved my underground lair aka the first floor.. I don't remember skullys though... the sol arcade was never there I pretended to be sick or injured with red spots the colors today are very different my first animal was a tiger and my second was a wolf user: micklil

I saw videos about people with skullies in their trade, and how they're ''coming back''. It was a glitch, you could only get them in the Eagle Adventures, but AJ sadly patched it D:

ReplyDeleteAnimal Jam made a Beta Party to cheer up the Beta lovers but it didn't cheer anyone up actually it did the opposite! everyone screamed and fussed about it since it didn't sell betas even though it had beta in the name and everyone said ''THERES NO MUSIC!!'' everyone said it was worst than the monkey party, AJ eventually had to get rid of the beta party because they were losing money!

ReplyDeletebecause also aj is loosing money they need more parties I'm kind of getting bored of the regular ones also they need to stop using members to get money and there is one thing unfair about the beta testers... just for beta testing they got 30 days of free membership. guess what also I'm not sure but i think there wasn't any den music either in beta days.also I CANT BELIVE THEY took pandas away they were so cute and whats mean is that some ppl just get betas to become cool and attract non members if you ask me only some people should get betas if they follow the rules or once the testing period was over they should of removed all betas also there wasn't a epic wonders in beta testing. oh how i wish i was in beta testing sincerely- whenpigsflycloud9
