Hatapalooza Returns

Greetings Jammers!

Today is Friday, May 5th, 2017.

The Jamaa Journal has added a new first page...

Hatapalooza was an event back on January 17th, 2013, where all hats were on sale and even some rare hats have appeared. The Hatapalooza celebration has returned and is all about the hats in Animal Jam! You can find carts hidden all over Jamaa with cool hats for sale...



The three locations are in Crystal Sands by the Pet Wash, Coral Canyons by the entrance, and Jamaa Township by the Mira Statue. THEY ALL HAVE DIFFERENT HATS. Unlike previous years, which only had the same hats. So be sure to find them all! Also, the Diamond Shop is selling RARE LIMITED-TIME hats:

Make sure to pick up these hats, and all of the hats of Jamaa, while you have the chance!

Mystery of the Week

Every other Thursday, when there is not a Jamaa Journal, we look into a Mystery surrounding Jamaa.

The Mystery of the Week is about the NEW ANIMAL...

I have a very strong theory that says Fennec Foxes are going to be the New Animal. I developed this theory as soon as the Jamaa Journal came out. Also, I see some other smart jammers, such as Nafaria9, have the same thoughts. Here are FIVE reasons why Fennec Foxes are coming to Jamaa:

#1: The "Canidae" Stone

In the last Jamaa Journal, we were notified that the Alphas have found another Heartstone. The Heartstone says "Canidae". "Canidae" is the name of the biological family of carnivorians, such as wild dogs, foxes, dingoes, and wolves. This shows that the new animal could be a fox, dingo, or jackal.

#2: Play Wild Pet

A couple of months ago, Animal Jam: Play Wild the application came out with Pet Fennec Foxes. This could be clue that Animal Jam has acknowledged the animal in the game. We have seen pets released before the actually animal in the past. Interesting!

#3: Wild Explorer's Video

Right after the update, a new video appeared in the Wild Explorer's Tent. Cami released a video about Fennec Foxes.

#4: Jammer Requests
I have heard many jammers that the past couple of years they have requested for Fennec Foxes. Lots of jammers have went to the Question Marks all over Jamaa, including in the Diamond Shop, and have requested for a new Fennec Fox species. Many jammers love these skinny and small creatures with huge ears. I do too!

#5: Animal Varieties
Recently, AJHQ has been releasing varieties of animals. For example, we have Wolves and Arctic Wolves. Cougars are like a large version of Lynxes. We even have a Fox and an Arctic Fox. Why not add a Fennec Fox?!

Every Wednesday a new Item shines under the Item Spotlight to be analyzed.

The Item Spotlight shines on New Year's Party Hat...

The New Year's Party Hats, often referred to as just Party Hats, were a Monthly Membership Gift back in January of 2012.

The item comes in eight varieties, and has a confetti effect that shows confetti constantly falling down. This item is a members-only item with a Rare tag added later in the game. Recently, this year the Diamond Shop came out with a ninth variety of the hat under a different name called the "Spring Party Hat". This item is very rare, as they have never been released to stores. You could definitely get a couple of rares, betas, and even rare items such as headdresses and spikes.

Glitch Corner

Every week, we look at a Glitch that has been found in Jamaa.

The Glitch Corner of the Week focuses on Animal Conversions...

Probably, the most recent glitch that Jamaa has dealt with has been with snow leopards. When snow leopards wear the new item "Chicken Beak", their colors are converted into yellow and magenta. Strange!

Solution: No solution. The snow leopards aren't really these colors! AJHQ will fix this soon.

Also, another glitch that many jammers, including members of the Animal Jam Sky community, has been with pandas. 

Some pandas are having issues with their eyelashes. Their eyes automatically change to the eyelash female eyes. When they try to change them back, they change to the eyelash eyes again.

Solution: Refresh the page. If this doesn't work try to buy a new panda. If the glitch continues, log out and log back in. AJHQ will fix this glitch sometime soon.
